After hearing numerous conversations by fellow Book Shop employees about Mary Russell. I had to see for myself what she was about. What I found was a "too-smart-for-her-own-good" 15 year-old who literally trips over a recently retired Sherlock Holmes and impresses him with her wit and intellect. He takes her "under his wing" and trains her to help him solve cases. Let the adventures begin! (or- "The Games Afoot!") You won't be able to put it down!
You Had Me At Woof was such an incredible book. You learn not only about the author & her Bostons, but what it’s like to work with Rescue groups and gain insight on owning dogs. Her relationship with Otto reminded me so much of mine with my Charlie. This book will make you laugh, make you cry, and definitely make you appreciate the Furry Four-legged Family members in a whole new light!!!
